It points out how Matthew begins his Gospel by explaining just enough of the parabolic imagery involved to make sure his reader understands Jesus Christ is conducting a parabolic pantomime in which He is depicting Himself as Corporate Israel. At the conclusion of that extended introduction to his Gospel, Matthew describes how Jesus went up on a hill and blessed the members of Corporate Israel for being just as the priests cursed them for not doing (Deut. 27).
