They Are Trying to Hide When They Should Be Seeking

The only reason the Church ever existed as a collective organization was because the leaders of the Apostolic Church needed some way to deal with all Believers as a collective group. However, you would do well to keep in mind the fact that God didn’t have to set things up the way He did; He chose to. The reason for that should also be fairly easy to understand: God can do whatever God wants to; and no matter what you think, the only thing that really matters is what God thinks. Under those circumstances, it might be best in the long run if you stop thinking what you want to think and spend some time trying to determine what God thinks. That way, you can make sure you are both on the same page.

The Way” God sees it, the True Believers in the Church today (notice I specifically did not say “everybody in the Church”) are parabolically like members of the resurrected Body of Jesus Christ. The parabolic imagery related to the phrase “Body of Christ” is a bit complex, but it is basically one in which all True Believers (again, I did not say “everybody”) are (collectively and parabolically) “The Woman” Israel. The Apostle Paul explains the significance of that parabolic imagery this way:

Wives, {be subject} to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself {being} the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives {ought to be} to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also {does} the church, because we are members of His body. For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.
(Ephesians 5:22–32)
