Jesus Christ is not going to âappearâ in the flesh as a man. He is going to be ârevealedâ in the awesome power and âgloryâ of âthe fleshâ of the resurrected Body that the Apostle Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 15. That resurrected Body has been created in the image and likeness of the Living Word of God that Christ was before He took on the âlikenessâ and âformâ of a man (Phil. 2:6â11). That is not something that Pretenders can even begin to understand, much less accept. Thatâs why they are going to accept the appearance of the Antichristâa mere manâas the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Jesus has been repeatedly warning His disciples not to be taken in by anyone who claims to be the Messiah because there will be no need for anyone to go anywhere to see Him when He is finally ârevealed.â When âThe Lightâ that He is begins to shine out of great darkness, there will be absolutely no room for doubtâ even in the mind of mendacious moronsâthat the Living Word of God has finally arrived on the scene.
With that brief description of His ârevelation,â Jesus concludes what He has to say about the âsignsâ of His Second Coming. He then turns His attention to the fact that although His disciples will not know precisely when He is going to be ârevealedâ; they will be able to know generally because they will have already seen the âabomination of desolationâ and they will know the ârevelationâ of the Living Word of God is to follow shortly. But Jesus is careful to emphasize the fact that the damned will be caught completely by surprise when âThe Lightâ that He is suddenly comes riding on brilliant clouds in the âgloryâ of a nuclear inferno:
âBut from the Fig Tree learn the parable: When His branch at last has become tender and is putting forth leaves, you know that summer is near. Likewise also you, when you see all these things, you know it is nearâat the door. Without doubt, I tell you that this generation will not pass away until all these things occur. Heaven and Earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. But concerning that day and hour no one knows, neither the messengers of Heaven nor the Son, but the Father only. For just as the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of the man. For as they were in those daysâthe ones before the Floodâeating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the Flood came and took them all, so will be the coming of the Son of the man. Then, two will be in the field, one man will be taken and one left; two grinding at the mill, one woman will be taken and one left. Therefore, keep watch, because you donât know what day your Lord is coming. But this you do know: That if the master of the house had known on what watch the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and not allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you also be ready, because the Son of âthe manâ is coming in whatever hour you do not think.â
